Outdoor Customer Service Representative (Outdoor CSR)

You will assist customers and vendors in our Landscape Supply Yard with professionalism and care—loading materials, educating customers on our products and services, operating equipment, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Help customers in our Landscape Supply Yard by finding the right type of stone, picking materials from high shelves, and offering guidance on products.
• Safely load customer vehicles and our own delivery trucks with materials that don’t require equipment operation.
• Bag and load landscaping materials like rock, sand, and mulch—bags can weigh between 50-75 lbs.
• Perform quick equipment checks before rentals go out and walk customers through safe usage instructions.
• Share knowledge about our products and services, from bulk materials to hardscape, sod, and artificial turf.
• Keep safety top of mind—maintaining a safe, clean work environment for yourself, coworkers, and customers.
• Track stock levels and alert the team when supplies are running low.
• Assist with daily deliveries by prepping loads and safely operating equipment (if trained).
• Support the Recycling Yard when needed, directing customers where to dump, helping unload materials, or identifying restricted items.
• Stay organized—keeping materials tidy and cleaning the yard and surrounding areas.
• Act as a safety-sensitive employee and participate in the random drug screening program to maintain a drug‑free workplace.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License (to operate equipment).
• Ability to work in various weather conditions with exposure to heat, cold, wind, and rain.
• Proficiency in professional working English.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged exertion, standing, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling objects up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to be trained on operating equipment, including forklifts, small loaders, and heavy loaders.
• Experience operating forklifts or small wheel loaders.
• Experience in customer service.
• Experience operating outdoor power equipment.
• Bilingual is a plus.
