Job summary

Shangri-La is seeking an Outdoor Cultivation Technician to support planting, irrigation, harvests, and ongoing crop care in outdoor grow environments. You’ll monitor plant health, assist with irrigation, and help manage inventory while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, enjoy outdoor work in varying weather, and demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced cultivation setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, transplanting, watering, feeding, pruning, trellising, and general plant care.
• Monitor plant health and report pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental concerns.
• Maintain outdoor grow areas and follow SOPs and safety requirements.
• Assist with irrigation systems and monitor environmental conditions.
• Support large-scale harvest activities and post-harvest handling.
• Track plant movement and assist with inventory and compliance.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive, accountable culture.

As an Outdoor Cultivation Technician, you are a key part of the farming operation. You help grow and maintain healthy cannabis plants throughout the season while supporting all aspects of outdoor cultivation. From planting and irrigation to harvesting and field maintenance, your work directly impacts the quality and success of the crop.

What You Will Be Doing

Supporting Plant Health and Growth

Assist with planting, transplanting, watering, feeding, pruning, trellising, and general plant care. Monitor plant health and report pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental concerns. Follow cultivation schedules and daily work assignments.

Maintaining Outdoor Grow Areas

Help maintain clean, organized, and efficient grow sites. Assist with weed control, mowing, landscaping, and upkeep of cultivation areas. Follow all state regulations, company SOPs, and safety requirements.

Irrigation and Environmental Monitoring

Assist with irrigation systems, watering schedules, and routine maintenance of cultivation equipment. Monitor environmental conditions and support efforts to optimize plant growth throughout the growing season.

Assisting with Harvest Operations

Support large-scale harvest activities including cutting, bucking, transporting, hanging, and processing plants. Handle plants carefully to maintain quality standards. Assist with post-harvest preparation and movement of harvested material.

Supporting Inventory and Compliance

Track plant movement and production activities as required. Assist with inventory counts and compliance reporting. Follow all state tracking requirements and company procedures.

Being a Strong Teammate

Maintain a positive and respectful workplace. Support team members and assist where needed. Help create a culture built on accountability, teamwork, and pride in the work.

Total Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay
$21.00 per hour
Approximately 40 hours per week
Estimated annual base pay of $43,680
