Job summary

McClatchy Content Innovation Lab seeks a Camp & Country Content Specialist to write and edit high-quality outdoor content for a national audience. You will craft guides, trail tips, gear reviews and features, using analytics and AI tools to surface trends and shape coverage across diverse regions including California.

You'll work with a collaborative team to test new formats and distribution strategies, driving engagement and readers’ connection with the outdoors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in content creation, writing or journalism.
• Strong writing, editing and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable using data and AI-powered tools to guide your work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce compelling stories, guides and features for outdoor audiences.
