Job summary

Cedar Lane LLC in Annapolis, MD, seeks hardworking Construction Laborers to support underground utility installation, site development, grading, and excavation projects. The role is outdoors in all weather, safety-minded, with opportunities to learn and grow in heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities include assisting with trenching, pipe laying, loading materials, maintaining safe sites, and following OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in excavation, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and following OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews with underground utilities installation, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
• Perform trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and compaction operations.
• Safely work around excavators, loaders, dozers, and other heavy equipment.
• Grade and prepare job sites using hand tools and small equipment.
• Locate, expose, and protect existing underground utilities.
• Set and remove trench boxes, shoring, and traffic control devices.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Assist foremen and equipment operators with daily project tasks.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned to support project completion.
