Job summary

PlumpJack Balboa Cafe in San Francisco is seeking a Cocktail & Beverage Server to deliver attentive, knowledgeable beverage service and elevate the guest experience. The role emphasizes cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages with accurate order taking and timely delivery.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, English fluency, and current food and RBSC certifications. CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

1+ year experience in a similar role with knowledge of foods, beverages, service standards and procedures.
English fluency required.
Current Food Handler Certificate and RBSC covering California liquor laws.
CPR certification preferred.
Detail oriented, organized, and efficient.
Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication.
Courteous, friendly and professional; good team player.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, friendly, and professional service to guests.
Main service area is the outside parklet and outdoor seating; interior service support as needed.
Maintain knowledge of the beverage program, signature and classic cocktails, wines, beer and non-alcoholic options.
Describe offerings and make recommendations using suggestive selling.
Take and enter beverage and food orders accurately; coordinate with bartenders and kitchen.
Serve beverages promptly with proper glassware, garnishes, and presentation.
Monitor tables and service areas; clear glassware and maintain a clean environment.
Adhere to all California and SF alcohol laws and PlumpJack policies.
Report guest concerns and incidents to management.
