The Pegasus School is searching for a long-term substitute teacher assistant to work in our Outdoor Classroom alongside our Environmental Learning and Sustainability Coordinator who serves as the lead teacher.
Substitute Teacher Assistants work alongside classroom teachers and other members of the faculty and staff to support a positive, engaging, and well-organized learning environment. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include supporting classroom instruction, working with individual students or small groups, assisting with classroom preparation and organization, and helping students navigate daily routines.
Substitute Teacher Assistants also provide active student supervision during non-instructional periods, including lunch, recess, morning arrival, passing periods, and afternoon dismissal.
Because substitutes may work with different teachers, students, and grade levels from one assignment to the next, successful candidates will be flexible, dependable, comfortable taking direction, and able to quickly adapt to established classroom routines and expectations.

The rate of pay for this position is $20.75 per hour.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
