YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a Summer Wellness Coordinator to provide intentional and caring programs that support the positive development of staff and campers. You will help create a safer, more engaging camp experience on a mountain setting serving youth from the region and beyond.

As a role model, you will lead mental wellness activities, support staff check-ins, and collaborate with teams to ensure clear communication and high-quality programming throughout each camp session.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 20 years old by June 2027.
• Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified or able to obtain by June 2027.

Aufgaben

• Support staff/LDPs in providing a more effective and supportive experience to campers.
• Implement mental wellness programming during staff training and camp weeks.
• Assist with person-focused staff check-ins during/after each session as a method of caring for staff and making them feel seen and heard.
• Provide support for campers to help reduce stress, enhance self-efficacy, and be a resource for one-on-one needs.
• Teach and lead behavior support and tactics rooted in positive child development psychology and encouraging play.
• Be available to discuss camper info forms and provide support/resources.
• Host programs during cabin rotations that touch on mental wellness and camper support.
• Collaborate for efficient processes and clear communication among all.
• Work with participants from diverse backgrounds.
• Serve as a role model upholding camp values with integrity, creativity, and safety.
• Responsible for campers' health and well-being mentally, emotionally, and physically.
• Approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner.

Kenntnisse

MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)

Strong communication

CPR/First Aid certified

Age requirement 20+ by June 2027

Ausbildung

Student in psychology/health care field (preferred)
