Job summary

Under Canvas seeks an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and ensure exceptional guest experiences across outdoor camps. You will act as an expert in customer service and operations, coordinating with front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, and food & beverage teams to meet goals and uphold standards.

You will drive hiring decisions with GM and HR, supervise staffing, and seek continuous process improvements to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; managerial experience preferred.
• 1 year management or 2+ years supervisory experience desired.
• Strong customer service and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel to multiple camp locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cross trained in each property department and travel for task force work when required.
• Provide clear expectations to the team in all operational areas.
• Collaborate with GM and HR on staffing, hiring decisions, and onboarding tasks.
• Oversee staff housing, payroll approvals, and timecard adjustments.
• Develop and implement SOPs, budgets, and inventory reviews as needed.
