Job summary
Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is seeking staff to safely lead adventure groups at Irons Oaks. You will guide teams through outdoor challenge activities and facilitate related discussions, aligning with the district's mission to enhance quality of life through diverse recreational offerings and environmental care.
The role requires strong customer service, safety focus, and the ability to coordinate schedules, interact with group leaders, enforce policies, and assist with events and waivers
Qualifications
- Must communicate effectively with groups of students and adults.
- Basic understanding of Experiential Education.
- Participation in Irons Oaks trainings.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external guests.
- Safely lead groups through Teams, Ropes, or Climbing Tower programs.
- Coordinate daily schedules with facilitators and naturalists.
- Interact with group leaders and chaperones professionally.
- Follow and enforce policy manuals and park district procedures.
- Report safety concerns to supervisor and assist with site stewardship.
- Assist with special events, waivers, and activity cleanup.
- Comply with LNT Pack In/Pack Out policy.
