Job summary

NSI Industries is seeking an Outbound Supervisor for its Fort Worth, TX Distribution Center. Hours are 1st Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm. The role requires direct supervision of warehouse personnel, ensuring safety, accuracy, and productivity on the floor.

You will assign daily work, balance labor, mentor staff, and partner with management to drive continuous improvement while maintaining policy adherence and accurate timecard handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• 5+ years in a distribution center with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience supervising employees in a warehouse/operations environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent problem-solving, math, reading, and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to lead with fairness and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and leadership to warehouse personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor, promoting safety, productivity, accuracy, and conduct.
• Assign daily work and balance labor based on volume and priorities.
• Learn all functions (picking, packing, QC, waving, replenishment, shipping) to assist where needed.
• Assist Manager with timecard reviews, attendance exceptions, overtime, and schedule adherence.
• Manage staffing needs, coverage gaps, and labor efficiency in collaboration with Management.
• Coach and address performance issues; document and issue warnings per policy.
• Enforce policies, safety standards, and workplace rules consistently.
• Ensure accurate execution of picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory using WMS.
• Support cycle counts and audits; participate in inventory integrity efforts.
• Train and develop Warehouse Leads and Associates; onboarding and cross-training.
• Drive continuous improvement with cross-functional partners.
