POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Operations Manager the Outbound Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day workflow of the Outbound Department. The ideal candidate will utilize their effective communication skills to manage a small team of Warehouse Associates, while also exercising their multi-tasking skills, acting as a “player-coach,” and managing various hands-on warehouse responsibilities, as well. The Outbound Supervisor will be expected to lead by example, in this fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and customer service skills, as well as compliance in upholding all of Solve’s safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all outbound operations ensuring timely and accurate picking, packing and shipping of orders, while maintaining quality standards
• Communicate maintenance needs, quality issues, or other situations that could impact safety, quality or productivity to the Operations Manager
• Collaborate with various other departments throughout the organization as needed
• Serve as primary point of contact for carriers, coordinating pick-ups and resolving issues related to shipment timing, documentation or load accuracy
• Identify opportunities for improvement to current warehouse processes and contribute to the development of new initiatives
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
• Lead a small team of Warehouse Associates in day-to-day warehouse responsibilities, while managing team metrics and KPI’s
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• 3+ Years Warehouse experience
• 1+ Years Leadership experience
• Forklift Certified
• Proficiency working with warehouse shipping & receiving equipment
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up 50 pounds
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook)
  
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Team Lead Experience
• Experience having worked with bearings and/or power transmission components
• Experience having worked with Epicor Prophet 21
• Experience with Lean methodologies
