Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Service Center Outbound Manager to lead zone/service center operations, staff and process management, and customer service delivery. You will oversee staffing, training, performance, and security procedures to ensure efficient service.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm or depending on business needs. Base salary 67,910–94,761 USD annually with bonus potential based on metrics and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory, logistics, and material handling experience.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to supervise staff and achieve results through others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials up to 70 pounds.
• Operate warehouse equipment per safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of workforce management including hiring, training, evaluating, mentoring, rewarding, disciplining, and succession planning.
• Train team on applicable business systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee activities of employees engaged in loading/unloading, packing, shipping, and transporting merchandise; optimize workstation efficiency.
• Assist in activities as needed.
• Oversee incoming/outgoing shipment activity and provide timely customer service to meet service goals.
• Maintain security of merchandise and equipment; perform annual inventory and daily cycle counts.
• Determine routing of orders and inspect loading operations for compliance and safety.
• Compile records of shipping/receiving; post charges and prepare bills of lading.
• Prepare reports on security, safety, inventory, and maintenance; expedite special projects and deliveries.
• Participate in or lead the Zone/Service Center Steering Committee.
