Job summary

The Outbound Team Lead at Arvato Direct Services Potsdam GmbH is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Shipping department, supervising warehouse associates, and ensuring on-time, accurate outbound shipments.

You will monitor productivity, coach staff, enforce safety SOPs, coordinate with Inventory Control and Transportation, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years' experience in shipping or distribution.
• Demonstrated shipping experience in a fast-paced DC environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates during outbound processes.
• Assign work and monitor productivity to meet daily shipping goals.
• Oversee order picking, packing, staging, and loading of outbound shipments.
• Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and shipped per customer and carrier requirements.
• Monitor labor allocation and adjust staffing based on workload and priorities.
• Coach, train, and develop team members while providing performance feedback.
• Enforce safety policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, and operational issues.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control, Inbound, Transportation, Quality, and Operations leadership to maintain workflow.

Job Description

The Outbound Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Shipping department. Including all product initially received through the warehouse and the handling of all paperwork pertaining to that merchandise. Tracks performance and attendance for all personnel assigned to the shipping area. This position is also responsible for safety, organization and cleanliness.

YOUR TASKS
