Job summary

Arvato Bertelsmann in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking an Outbound Supervisor to ensure timely order completion and satisfy customer expectations. You will oversee the Pick/Pack/Ship operation, manage labor resources, and coordinate with the control tower to meet shifting demands.

The role requires 3 years of supervisory experience, 3 years in a WMS environment, and experience with inventory research. Training staff, KPI management, and adherence to procedures are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise labor and equipment of the Pick/Pack/Ship operation.
• Ensure on-time completion and maintain order quality.
• Oversee direct shipping, pick, pack and traffic.
• Supervise and coordinate employees.
• Receiving and transferring of materials.
• Hire and train new employees for picking, packing, shipping.
• Ensure procedures are followed and updated for the control tower.
• Performance management of all employees (KPI’s).
• Document, update, and ensure procedures and quality processes are followed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the department.
• Monitor customer requests and vendor shipping requirements.
• Update Kronos and Metrics in Excel, related to WMS reporting.
• Monitor picking, packing, and shipping on the floor.
• Complete shift-end procedures and floor end-of-shift close-outs.
• Work schedule: Sunday 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - Midnight.
• Work location: 637 East Blue Lick Road, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.

Job Description

As the Outbound Supervisor at Arvato, your primary objective will be to ensure the timely completion of orders, aligning with our commitment to exceeding customer expectations. Collaborating closely with Wave Panning, you'll manage labor resources effectively while prioritizing orders with precision.

YOUR TASKS

• Supervise and manage the labor and equipment of the Pick/Pack/Ship operation.
• Ensure on-time completion and maintain the quality of orders to meet customer requirements.
• You will oversee direct shipping, pick, pack, and traffic.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees.
• Receiving of materials.
• Transferring of materials.
• Hire and ensure proper training of new employees for the picking, packing, and shipping departments.
• Ensure proper procedures are adhered to and up to date for the control tower for current and new customers.
• Performance management of all employees (KPI’s).
• Document, update, and ensure procedures and quality processes are followed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the department.
• Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor-specific shipping requirements.
• Update and maintain Kronos and Metrics in Excel, as it relates to WMS reporting.
• Monitor picking, packing, and shipping functions on the floor.
• Ensure that shift-end specific procedures with all shipping systems are completed, and floor end-of-shift close-outs are followed.
• Work schedule: Sunday 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - Midnight
