Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring Shipping Associates for a direct-hire role at a brand-new high-tech manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will manage outbound shipments, inspect orders, and prepare documentation for domestic and international deliveries, using Oracle, Excel, and Google Workspace.

Training will occur with hands-on sessions, including a 6-8 week program in Los Angeles before transitioning to the Salt Lake City operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience using FedEx, UPS, DHL, or similar carrier systems.
• Experience shipping in manufacturing, electronics, distribution, or fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage outbound domestic and international shipments from preparation through delivery.
• Inspect products and orders before shipment to verify quantity, condition, accuracy, and documentation.
• Select appropriate packaging materials and securely pack high-value electronic products.
• Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, commercial invoices, carrier documents, and international shipping paperwork.
• Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other carrier systems.
• Coordinate carrier pickups, freight services, transportation schedules, and delivery timelines.
• Track shipments and communicate delays, delivery concerns, or documentation issues.
• Contact customers to verify shipping addresses, order details, or delivery information.
• Enter shipping, order, and inventory information into company systems.
• Use Oracle, Excel, and Google Workspace in daily tasks.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic shipping records.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Inventory, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams.
• Maintain inventories of boxes, labels, packaging materials, and other shipping supplies.
• Monitor packaging-material usage and replenish supplies before shortages affect operations.
• Support packaging and transportation of materials for trade shows, demonstrations, and company events.
• Operate forklifts and powered pallet jacks after training/certification.
• Assist with receiving, inventory, and material-handling as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized shipping, packing, and storage areas.

Help Launch a Brand‑New High‑Tech Manufacturing Operation

Kelly® is hiring Shipping Associates for an exciting direct‑hire opportunity at a brand‑new manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In this role, you’ll help ship advanced radio communication products designed to remain operational when traditional infrastructure is unavailable. These products primarily support military applications, along with other industries that rely on secure and dependable communication.

You’ll manage outbound shipments from beginning to end, including inspecting products, preparing packaging and documentation, coordinating carriers, tracking deliveries, and communicating with customers when information needs to be verified.

DIRECT HIRE

Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 8:00 AM
Pay: $21.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience
Work Environment: Fully onsite in a clean, organized, high‑tech facility

6-8 Weeks of Hands‑On Training in Los Angeles

New employees will begin with approximately two weeks of training at the company’s established California facility.

• Fly to Los Angeles on Sunday evening
• Begin onboarding at 8:30 AM on Monday
• Complete orientation, HR meetings, training videos, and a facility tour
• Participate in hands‑on training Tuesday through Friday
• Fly home for the weekend
• Return to California to complete the second week of training

This training provides the opportunity to learn established shipping processes, systems, and expectations before transitioning into the new Salt Lake City operation.

What You’ll Be Doing
