Job summary

WAI Distribution Center in Mississippi is seeking Order Pickers to join our outbound operations. You will pick, verify, pack, and ship orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while operating order picking equipment and forklifts.

You will read pick lists and SOPs, use RF devices, and maintain safety and 5S standards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, events, advancement opportunities, and incentives including a $1000 attendance bonus and a $500 referral bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Possesses effective verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pack and label items accurately.
• Safely load items onto material handling equipment.
• Read and interpret pick lists and SOPs/WIs.
• Operate RF devices and powered equipment (forklifts, pickers, pallet jacks).
• Use RF to move materials to staging areas and ensure correct transfers.
• Inspect items for correct part number and quantity and document transfers.
• Maintain pallet manifest accuracy and inspect equipment for defects.
• Tag containers with identifying information and assist in root-cause analysis of shipping discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team and cross-train to boost productivity and safety.
• Follow 5S guidelines and participate in ongoing safety training.
