Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks an Outbound Operations Manager to lead outbound functions at our Salt Lake City area center. You will guide strategy, drive safety, performance, and cost control while developing teams and coordinating cross‑functional efforts with plant leadership.

You’ll influence productivity, uphold safety compliance, and optimize warehouse operations using WMS/ERP tools, Power BI, and other tech to deliver top‑tier customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GM/AGM to implement strategies for efficiency and productivity.
• Set performance expectations and monitor outbound teams for accountability.
• Lead truck yard operations including safety, organization, and maintenance.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and incidents are addressed promptly.
• Develop and coach employees to maximize team effectiveness.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve escalations when needed.
• Work cross‑functionally with DC management to address shipping errors.
• Protect assets and monitor receipts to prevent loss.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
