Job summary

At Home is seeking an experienced Outbound Logistics Manager to lead our outbound distribution operations from Coppell, TX. This hybrid role partners with cross-functional teams to optimize transportation, carrier performance, and cost management.

You will manage a team, drive process improvements, and ensure on-time delivery across the network while collaborating with senior logistics leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain/Business related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of Logistics/Transportation or related field.
• Experience establishing KPI metrics to benchmark/track performance.
• Experience in Excel for data reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and projects.
• Highly motivated, energetic, strong sense of urgency to meet goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transportation strategies that optimize cost, service, capacity, and operational performance across the distribution network.
• Partner with DCs, Store Operations, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional leaders to improve transportation service, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.
• Establish and manage transportation performance expectations, ensuring service levels, financial objectives, and operational requirements.
• Monitor transportation market conditions, carrier capabilities, and opportunities to identify cost savings and improvements.
• Lead the management and performance of the core carrier network, including onboarding and cost management.
• Develop capacity strategies to support peak seasons, new store openings, and volume changes.
• Analyze spend and performance to identify root causes and plan improvements.
• Evaluate routes, coverage, and network requirements for existing and new locations.
• Maintain on-time delivery performance and effective issue-resolution processes.
• Evaluate initiatives using financial and operational analysis to assess risks and benefits.
• Identify critical business information to support decision-making and improvements.
• Maintain empty trailer/equipment pools across centers to optimize assets.
• Oversee daily carrier capacity and transportation operations at centers.
