Job summary

FieldCore is seeking an experienced Outage Manager to lead complex planned and emergent outages for gas turbine, steam turbine and generator systems. You will own the preparation, planning, execution, and close-out, driving best practices and consistent outage performance across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/engineering or equivalent 4 years of experience in power generation industry.
• 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge on gas/steam turbine or generator maintenance.
• 3+ years of specialized/industry experience of gas/steam turbine generator & auxiliary system outage planning and execution.
• English proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead outage event planning from start to finish, including outage schedule development, labor/tooling/cost planning, customer meetings, mobilization planning, and event close out.
• Own onsite execution as site lead with large teams during outages, ensuring fulfilment goals and requirements are met.
• Manage on-job cost tracking, productivity, while managing execution risk/FMEA and any warranty issues
• Drive improvement of on-time delivery, outage cost and productivity, and maintain accurate tracking files
• Lead project quotation development including work scope, site checks, preliminary safety and risk analysis to minimize costs
• Support customer operations during shutdown, startup, running and performance testing of turbine, generator and auxiliary systems
• Ensure proper execution documentation is prepared, used, reviewed, and delivered including Field Procedures and EHS
• Coordinate labor, tooling, and vendor management using web systems applications
• Respond to forced outages promptly, be on site when needed and escalate issues to restore units to operating conditions
• Support Customer Service Leader on technical communication to customer staff during outage execution
• Work to improve and optimize existing processes and look for simplification opportunities
• Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required
• Travel may be required
