Job summary

HTI seeks a Maintenance Planner – Outage Coordinator in Augusta, GA to establish and optimize outage planning processes for a state-of-the-art operation. The role focuses on coordinating major equipment outages, developing work plans, and guiding contractor activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost control.

You will collaborate across maintenance and operations, develop scopes and budgets, and ensure SAP work orders are accurate.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of maintenance planning, outage coordination, or related industrial experience
• Experience planning major equipment shutdowns or turnarounds
• Knowledge of critical-path planning and Gantt chart development
• Experience developing contractor scopes, managing costs, and coordinating contractor activities
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and workflows
• Experience using SAP or another CMMS
• Experience with Microsoft Project or comparable planning software
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work onsite in an industrial environment and wear PPE

Responsibilities

• Develop scopes, budgets, timelines, and detailed work plans for major equipment outages
• Coordinate outage-planning meetings across maintenance, operations, and other stakeholders
• Create contractor scopes of work and support contractor coordination and cost management
• Identify labor, materials, tools, and parts required for planned work
• Work with warehouse personnel to organize and kit outage materials
• Maintain a library of shutdown, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance job plans
• Ensure work orders are complete and accurate within SAP
• Facilitate post-outage reviews and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support daily and weekly maintenance planning when needed
• Promote consistent maintenance workflows and planning standards throughout the facility
