Job summary

US Tech Solutions seeks an Engineering Technologist II to provide technical and administrative support for transmission outage coordination, substation operations, and capital project execution in the Energy Control Center. You will help plan, schedule, and coordinate outages essential for construction, maintenance, reliability, and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related technical discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in transmission, substations, protection & control, or outage coordination.
• Ability to read transmission/substation one-line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transmission and substation outages for capital projects and maintenance.
• Review outage requests for accurate scheduling and execution.
• Maintain and communicate outage schedules with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, ECC personnel, project managers, and field teams.
• Review diagrams, relay applications, procedures, and switching instructions.
• Evaluate system impacts and identify scheduling conflicts.
• Support multiple outage requests with attention to detail.
• Maintain outage records and coordination logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures.
• Identify process improvements and communicate with leadership.
• Assist with emergency/outpriority outages as needed.
