Job summary

Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc. seeks an OTR Tire Service Technician to support on-site tire installations and repairs for heavy-duty vehicles in outdoor settings. You will operate service vehicles, perform inspections, and ensure equipment and tires are maintained in top condition.

This role requires flexibility for night shifts and overtime. Ideal candidates have a CDL A or B, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with heavy-duty tires.

Qualifications

• CDL A or B required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime and non-standard hours.
• Experience with OTR/heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred.
• Ability to safely change/repair commercial tires in all weather.
• Lift/carry up to 75 lbs regularly; up to 250 lbs occasionally with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company service vehicles to rack and hoist vehicles for inspection.
• Perform on-site tire installations and repairs for OTR/heavy equipment at customer locations.
• Ensure safe operation of company vehicles following regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and proper tool care.
• Work independently in all weather conditions providing roadside tire service.
• Participate in ongoing training and follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Complete additional tasks to support team operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Safely operate company service vehicles to rack and hoist vehicles for inspection
• Perform on-site tire installations and repairs to OTR (over the road) and/or large equipment vehicles at customer locations
• Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles while adhering to all speed and traffic regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and properly care for tools and equipment
• Work independently in all weather conditions to provide reliable roadside tire service
• Participate in ongoing training and adhere to safety procedures, job duties, and company policies
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations

What You Need:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B required) and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s file
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision
• Previous experience working with OTR, heavy-duty, or commercial tires
• Capability to safely change and repair commercial tires in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 75 pounds regularly, and up to 250 pounds occasionally with or without mechanical assistance
