Job summary

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with Tank and HazMat endorsements, DOT medical and drug tests, a clean driving record, and fluent English; TWIC preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred; two+ years driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X).
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment medical exam.
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must possess a driving record with no more than two moving violations in the previous three years.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Two plus years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience preferred.
• TWIC card preferred.
• This position is Safety Sensitive and subject to pre-employment and random Drug and Alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor/semi-trailer to safely transport bulk liquid product.
• Follow dispatched instructions to drive to load and deliver to consignee.
• Load/unload cargo tanks, opening/closing dome lid, valves and starting/stopping pump; driver attends during transfer.
• Communicate with dispatch the Bill of Lading information to initiate billing, accounting and payroll processes.
• Prepare and maintain electronic Hours of Service Logs and complete/submit other required paperwork.
• Inspect tractor and trailer for safety concerns and ensure all operating equipment is in proper working order and meets safety conditions.
• Actively participates in and promotes the Company’s safety programs.
