Job summary

Our business also includes a diversified suite of Jones Act compliant marine transportation equipment used to transport crude oil and intermediate refined products along the Gulf and East Coast, and major river systems, the production and marketing of other specialty chemicals with no known substitutes and an increasingly integrated portfolio of onshore crude oil pipelines and terminals along the Gulf Coast.

An Over the Road (OTR) Truck Driver is dispatched to drive a tractor/cargo tank to a specific location (shipper) load product and deliver to a specific location (consignee). Driver inspects all operating equipment for proper working order and safety conditions, and reports load information to initiate billing, accounting and payroll processes.

Key Duties
  • Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor/semi-trailer (cargo tank) to safely transport bulk liquid product.
  • Follow dispatched instructions to drive the tractor/cargo tank to a specific location (shipper) load product and deliver to a specific location (consignee).
  • Load/unload cargo tanks, which may require opening/closing dome lid atop trailer, opening/closing valves and starting/stopping pump. Driver is required to be in attendance during transfer process.
  • Communicate with dispatch the Bill of Lading information to initiate billing, accounting and payroll processes appropriately.
  • Prepare and maintain electronic Hours of Service Logs and complete/submit other required paperwork.
  • Inspect tractor and trailer for safety concerns and ensure all operating equipment is in proper working order and meets safety conditions.
  • Actively participates in and promotes the Company’s safety programs.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X)
  • Must pass a DOT pre‑employment medical exam.
  • Must pass a DOT pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must possess a driving record which contains no more than two (2) moving violations convictions during the previous three (3) years.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two plus years of verifiable tractor/semi‑trailer driving experience preferred.
  • TWIC card preferred.
  • This position must adhere to applicable D.O.T. regulations and/or is considered a Safety Sensitive position, and as such, is subject to pre‑employment and random Drug and Alcohol testing.
