Job summary

Baranko Companies, headquartered in Dickinson, ND, seeks an Over-the-Road (OTR) Lube & Tire Technician for routine lubrication, tire service, and PM support across the OTR fleet. The role emphasizes safe, timely maintenance to keep equipment available while enabling lead mechanics to focus on diagnostics and repairs.

Success means completing scheduled work safely, maintaining tire conditions, and documenting all services in HCSS E360.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn OTR maintenance.
• Basic set of hand tools to perform services on OTR equipment.
• Valid driver's license; ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled lubrication, fluid checks, filter changes, oil changes, and other routine preventive maintenance tasks on assigned OTR equipment.
• Inspect, rotate, repair, and maintain tires and wheels within training and company procedures.
• Assist OTR mechanics with PMs, inspections, basic repairs, parts handling, and other maintenance activities as assigned.
• Accurately document labor, parts, fluids, tire work, inspection findings, and completed services in HCSS E360.
• Communicate unsafe conditions, overdue service, tire concerns, and additional repair needs to the OTR Maintenance Lead before equipment is returned to service.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, tire equipment, lubrication equipment, and assigned service vehicles or equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and proper practices for lifting, jacking, blocking, tire inflation, wheel installation, fluid handling, and disposal.
