Job summary

Earl W. Colvard, Inc. seeks an OTR Technician with 5+ years of tire experience to operate boom and fleet trucks. Must work with various tire types, including solids, and hold a Class B CDL.

The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and after-hours calls, with potential for advancement and a benefit package including paid vacation and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of tire experience and be able to change all tire types, including solids.
• Ability to operate an OTR boom truck and fleet truck.
• Must have a Class B CDL and pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate a boom truck with or without a tire hand.
• Remove and replace tires and wheels from vehicles off-site.
• Service all sizes and types of tires, including OTR and solids.

Job description

OTR Technician with previous tire experience (5 or more years) – Able to change all type of tires as well as solid industrial press. Operate a boom truck with or without a tire hand . This position has dual roles, can work on an OTR boom truck as well as fleet truck Must have a Class B CDL

• TIA Trained passenger and light truck, medium commercial, industrial, and OTR
• Ability to maintain regular attendance
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and back ground check
• Must be able to pass an MVR. Maximum of six points allowed.
• Must be able to operate a fleet service truck, small mini boom, and an OTR boom truck with or without hands with the flexibility of what is needed from the service department.
• Must be able to remove and replace tires and wheels from vehicles off-site
• Must be able to service all sizes and types of tires including large OTR and press on solids.
• Must be capable of written fleet service reporting and corrections
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and after hours calls.
• Must be able to raise on-road and off-road vehicles using air hydraulic jacks.
• Must have a class B CDL
