Alaska West Express, Inc. is seeking a Line Haul / Anchorage Local Driver responsible for operating tractor-trailer combinations between Fairbanks and multiple AK destinations while complying with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Five years OTR experience preferred.
• Alaska drivers north of Fairbanks - minimum of two years Haul Road experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Attend to shipments securely using straps and equipment; climb on tankers or flatbeds as needed.
• Inspect trucks and trailers for defects before, during and after trips.
• Ensure shipping documents are complete and accurate for each shipment.
• Communicate with dispatcher via telephone or radio and maintain logs and records as required by law.
• Use personal devices for essential work tasks and comply with safety policies.
