Job summary

Black Hills Trucking LLC is seeking a full-time over-the-road truck driver based in Spring, Texas. You will operate trucks to drill sites and other locations, maintain logs, and ensure timely freight delivery.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL and at least two years of OTR experience with a strong emphasis on safety. You will adhere to DOT standards, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and coordinate with dispatch for load status and delays.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with all endorsements.
• Minimum two years of OTR experience.
• Ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
• Attitude conducive to safety and a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck or equipment to outlying locations and stay on the road as needed for drill sites and orders.
• Adhere to DOT and company safety/compliance standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain logs of driving hours and activities (electronic or paper).
• Communicate with dispatch regarding load status and delays.
• Deliver freight on schedule and handle pickup/drop-off paperwork.
• Secure cargo and ensure load integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Drives truck or equipment to outlying locations; travels and works for extended periods as necessary for drill site requirements, customer work orders, and miscellaneous company assignments.
• Adhere to all DOT and company safety and compliance standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs (electronic or paper) of driving hours and activities.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding load status, delays, or issues.
• Deliver freight on schedule and handle paperwork at pickup/drop-off.
• Secure cargo properly and ensure load integrity.
• May be required to periodically work out of location other than base terminal for special assignments.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with all endorsements.
• A minimum of two (2) years OTR experience.
• Ability to meet physical requirements established by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and an attitude conducive to safety.
• Willingness to be on the road for extended periods.
• Manage oversize and overweight loads.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Ability to be trained in and proficiently use business-specific applications, including but not limited to:
  • ELD, Dispatch apps, electronic DVIR, app-based safety training

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of DOT physical.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
