Job summary

PepsiCo in Midland, TX is looking for a full-time tractor-trailer driver to deliver Lay’s, Doritos, and Cheetos to local stores. You will comply with FMCSA regulations, load/unload cargo, complete logs, and use a tablet for trip documentation.

The role requires a Class A CDL, 100,000+ accident-free miles (or 2,500+ accident-free hours), and the ability to work Sundays through Saturdays. Safety, reliability, and a fast-paced environment are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Have at least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours.
• Willing to work holidays and weekends.
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products.
• Ability to sit for extended periods up to five hours daily.
• Able to drive a tractor trailer for extended periods up to 11 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products following FMCSA regulations.
• Load and unload trailers, including palletized loading/unloading and overhead lifting.
• Deliver to large grocery stores, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers.
• Obtain signatures, pick up returns, and review invoices/manifests.
• Use an electronic logging device and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Possess a valid Class “A” commercial driver’s license
• Have at least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours

• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to five hours daily, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor trailer for extended periods of time, up to 11 hours per day, with or without a reasonable accommodation

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Load and unload trailers, which may include manual loading, palletized loading/unloading, use of a two-wheeler, and lifting product overhead
• Transport chips, dips, and more to large grocery stores, Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities, rural storage units, and other traffic centers
• Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and paperwork related to deliveries, and review invoices and/or manifests
• Use an electronic logging device, such as a tablet or onboard computer, and complete pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout the day or night
