Job summary

PepsiCo seeks experienced CDL-A truck drivers in Frankfort, IN to safely operate tractor-trailers and deliver products to regional stores. The role involves bid-based run assignment, varied start times, and complying with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license
• Have at least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours
• Willing to work holidays and weekends
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to five hours daily, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor trailer for extended periods of time, up to 11 hours per day, with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Load and unload trailers, which may include manual loading, palletized loading/unloading, use of a two-wheeler, and lifting product overhead
• Transport chips, dips, and more to large grocery stores, Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities, rural storage units, and other traffic centers
• Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and paperwork related to deliveries, and review invoices and/or manifests
• Use an electronic logging device, such as a tablet or onboard computer, and complete pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout the day or night

• Pay: $83191.68 Annual Target
• Location: Frankfort, IN
• Work Days: Days will vary. Drivers bid on their runs daily. They must take 10 hours off in between runs.
• Start Time: Start times will depend on which runs they bid on and get with their seniority number.
• End Time: We do not have dedicated routes. It's all on the bidding system. End times will depend on which run they bid on and get with their seniority number.
