Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel technician or heavy-duty mechanic.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time-management skills.
• CDL and ASE certifications are preferred but not required, depending on company needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on heavy-duty diesel trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Inspect braking, suspension, steering, and wheel-end components; perform repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, including starting and charging systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair orders; follow safety and industry standards.
• Work to minimize downtime while delivering quality workmanship.
