Job summary

Optimum Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced CDL driver for regional OTR routes. Earn $30.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and get paid weekly. This temp-to-perm role requires manual transmission expertise and a valid Class A CDL, with routes across the Eastern U.S. and Midwest, starting from Marion, VA.

Departs Sundays and returns Fridays; typically 2–3 trips per week with 1–4 stops per trip. No NYC deliveries; curtain-side trailers and building materials are involved.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• 24 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Manual transmission experience REQUIRED.
• Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background checks.
• No DUIs/DWIs within the last 5 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Earn $30.00 per hour with OT after 40 hours.

• OTR schedule running Sunday–Friday
• Depart Sunday afternoon and return by Friday afternoon
• Complete approximately 2–3 trips per week with 1–4 stops per trip
• Operate a Sleeper Tractor with Curtain-Side Trailers and occasional Dry Vans
• MANUAL TRANSMISSION – Manual driving experience required
• Haul Building Products, including building materials approximately 8–20 ft. in length
• Routes run throughout the Eastern U.S. and Midwest
• No NYC or Long Island deliveries
• Loads originate out of Marion, VA
• Must be comfortable operating Curtain-Side Trailers
• Safely complete assigned OTR routes while following all DOT requirements

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 24 months of recent verifiable commercial driving experience
• Must be 23 years of age or older
• Manual Transmission experience REQUIRED
• Must be able to safely operate a Manual Sleeper Tractor
• Must be comfortable operating Curtain-Side Trailers
• Dry Van experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with OTR driving and spending multiple nights away from home
• Must be available to depart on Sundays
• Must be comfortable running throughout the Eastern U.S. and Midwest
• Must be comfortable completing approximately 2–3 trips per week with 1–4 stops per trip
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Checks
