Job summary

Optimum Staffing , Inc. is seeking experienced OTR truck drivers for a full-time, team-based position based in La Porte, IN. Earn $2,000–$2,100 per week as mileage, stops, and dock work determine pay; expect about 4,000 miles weekly.

Vehicles include Sleeper Tractors with 53′ Dry Van or Reefer. Routes to Whitehall, MI; Cleveland, OH; Dover, NJ; and Hampton, VA. Expect 8–10 hour shifts with a weekly pay schedule and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• 24 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• 23 years of age or older
• Comfort operating a 53′ Dry Van and/or Reefer
• Willing to run approximately 4,000 miles per week
• Able to pass DOT Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Checks
• No DUIs/DWIs within the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 36 months

Responsibilities

• OTR driving in teams with partner matching before assignment
• Operate a Sleeper Truck with a 53′ Dry Van or Reefer
• Transport Aerospace Materials safely and efficiently
• Routes originate in La Porte, IN with runs to Whitehall, MI; Cleveland, OH; Dover, NJ; and Hampton, VA
• Touch Freight responsibilities as required
• Work 8–10 hour shifts depending on routes

• Average approximately 4,000 miles per week

• Full-time OTR driving position as a Teams position; you will meet your partner to make sure it is a good fit before being put together.
• Operate a Sleeper Truck with a 53′ Dry Van or Reefer
• Transport Aerospace Materials safely and efficiently
• Routes originate in La Porte, IN to pick up load with runs to Whitehall, MI; Cleveland, OH; Dover, NJ; and Hampton, VA
• Touch Freight: Assist with freight and delivery responsibilities as required
• Work approximately 8-10 hour shifts, depending on assigned routes

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 24 months of recent verifiable commercial driving experience
• Must be 23 years of age or older
• Must be comfortable operating a 53′ Dry Van and/or Reefer
• Must be willing and able to run approximately 4,000 miles per week
• Must be comfortable with OTR driving and extended time on the road
• Ability to handle Touch Freight and delivery responsibilities as required
• Must be flexible with schedule and dispatch times based on route needs
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Checks
• No DUIs/DWIs within the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 36 months
