Job summary

Norfolk Iron & Metal Company is seeking an experienced OTR driver to safely operate company-owned tractor-trailers in full DOT compliance, deliver steel products on assigned routes, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain safe operating conditions.

You will complete DVIRs, assist with loading and unloading, provide courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries, keep the vehicle clean, report mechanical or safety issues, and follow all company policies and

Qualifications

• Class A CDL and DOT compliance required.
• Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company-owned tractor-trailers in DOT compliance and safety policies.
• Deliver steel products to assigned routes and maintain on-time performance.
• Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers.
• Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and driving documentation.
• Assist with loading, securing, and unloading steel products.
• Provide courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries.
