Over-the-Road Team Driver - Home Weekends

Earn Up to 100K + 6K Sign-on

Komatsu is an indispensable partner to the construction, mining, forestry, forklift, and industrial machinery markets.

Job Overview

Komatsu Mining in Charleroi, PA (off the Bentleyville exit of Route 70) is looking for a Class A CDL driver who can operate trucks with a capacity of up to 80,000 lbs. gross to transport mining equipment and parts to and from designated locations (warehouses).

Earn up to $100K annually.

• Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, vacation, holiday, and personal days.
• $6,000 sign-on bonus.
• This is a team position — both drivers are paid mileage when the truck is moving and downtime when it’s not.
• Home every weekend (Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun, or Sun/Mon).
• No loading or unloading freight, just chain/strap and go.
• 2023 Peterbilt trucks.

Team Details

We are open to hiring established teams; however, we follow our Union CBA guidelines which give first pick to our most senior drivers. As drivers build their careers, they move higher on the seniority list, gaining more flexibility to request preferred team partners. We operate a small crew of 11 drivers (5 teams plus 1 fill-in/spare driver). Routes are re-bid annually based on seniority, allowing drivers to partner with any of the other drivers, including potentially their preferred team member.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure shipment is loaded correctly.
• Secure tarp as needed.
• Chain and bind down gear case as needed.
• Drive truck in 8-10 hour rotations with a team member (alternating with 10 hours off-duty).
• Provide manifest to warehouse at delivery site.
• Market products and services to customers at delivery sites.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A.
• Must pass ICC physical and drug test every 2 years.
• Must pass random drug tests.
• Two years of Over-the-Road experience (preferred).
