Job summary

Estes Express is seeking Line Haul Extraboard Drivers to transport freight between Estes Service Centers. Drivers operate various equipment, adhere to FMCSA regulations, and maintain safety and security of cargo while keeping accurate records.

The role requires a Class A CDL, HazMat/Tanker endorsements, and the ability to work 5 days away from home. The position emphasizes driver comfort with in-cab technology, uniforms provided by the company, lodging paid when away from home, and eligible

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older per FMCSA regulations; minimum 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required (LCV may apply).
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Must be able to read/speak English to meet FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer in accordance with Company, FMCSA and local laws.
• Maintain records as required by regulations.
• Couple/uncouple trailers and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Comply with hazardous materials transport requirements and safety procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and the public.
• Adhere to all safety, time, and company policies; work independently or in a team.
