Job summary

Akumin Inc is seeking dependable CDL Class A drivers to transport mobile medical imaging units (MRI, PET & CT) across the Northeast and beyond. You will set up/teardown equipment at client sites, operate tractors with automatic transmissions, and maintain safe vehicle operation.

Training lasts 4-6 weeks; shifts are 8–12 hours with some nights and weekends; expect 1–2 weeks away from home. Requires clean driving record, DOT certification, and ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and clean DOT medical certification required.
• Ability to operate and back up tractor trailers safely.
• Willingness to train and set up medical equipment at delivery sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers with automatic transmissions for mobile medical imaging units.
• Set up/tear down medical equipment at delivery sites (patient access areas).
• Maintain safe driving and comply with DOT/ICC regulations.
• Transport 1-2 trailers per night and log hours per schedule.
