Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago offers a full-time Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (RNFA) role in Otology, Neurotology, & Lateral Skull Base Surgery. The APP will work in a hybrid practice with outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and operating room duties.

Responsibilities include rounds, procedures, medication management, and teaching; 3–5 years of APP experience in ENT or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs; inpatient experience considered in lieu of acute care certification.
• Current Illinois RN and NP/PA licensure with prospective credentialing through NM MSO.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and manage a broad range of patient problems.
• Prescribe medications and order tests; interpret results within clinical privileges.
• Collaborate with physicians and audiologists in interdisciplinary care.
• Provide patient and family education; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to department programs.
