Job description

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking a FULL TIME Locum to Perm Otolaryngologist to join their team!

Note: Do NOT contact any providers currently employed with MercyOne.

Schedule:

• Patient Contact Hours: 36
• Shifts per month: 1.0 FTE
• Clinic Hours:
• Clinic Days: Monday-Friday
• Procedure/OR Days: When there is open time; scheduling will be coordinated with the OR
• On Call: Included in the call schedule

Details:

• This role involves inpatient and clinic coverage. Hospital coverage will be in Des Moines, and clinic coverage in Clive. (Call shifts for hospital, hourly shifts for clinic)
• Inpatient responsibilities included
• Physician Nurse Ratio: 1:1
• Ancillary Staff per provider: 1:1
• Procedures offered: All ENT services
• Exam Rooms per Provider: 2-3
• Medical Imaging: Available in the building, but not in the clinic
• Lab & Pharmacy: Available in the building, but not in the clinic
• Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 30+ patients
• Appointment Length: 15 minutes
• Patient Population: Central Iowa, including Boone County, Indianola, and Pleasant Hill as outreach areas
• Teaching Opportunity: Yes
• EMR: EPIC
