Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to support rehabilitation services in our facility. You will work under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist to treat patients, document progress, and participate in care conferences.

The role requires strong writing and interpersonal skills, a collaborative team approach, and the ability to adapt in a busy rehab department. You will assist with area maintenance and patient family instruction.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
• Open to therapists at all experience levels.
• Shows genuine desire to help patients in rehabilitation.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills for care documentation.
• Exhibits credibility, integrity and teamwork in a busy rehab department.
• Understands and adapts to the unpredictable nature of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining the department.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility.
• Record treatment charges per facility policy and procedures.
• Instruct patients\' families or nursing staff in maintenance program.
