Job summary

Riverside is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Manhattan, NY. This on-site role emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach with PT, SLP, nursing, and social work to deliver patient-centered care and ensure safe discharge readiness.

New graduates are welcome, with structured mentorship, hands-on orientation, and ongoing clinical education. Pay ranges from $41.00 to $47.00 per hour, plus health/dental/vision, 401k, PTO, and CEU support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license and registration in the state of practice, or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise OTAs in accordance with state practice act.
• Comfort with clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA, and Federal Resident Rights.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status, functional ability, limitations, precautions, and rehab potential.
• Build individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on capacity and tolerance.
• Deliver skilled OT interventions focused on ADL performance, safety, and return to prior level of function.
• Complete evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation accurately and on time.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, safety, and carryover strategies.
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, dietitians, and social work to deliver patient-centered care and support discharge readiness.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, DME, and environmental modifications.
• Supervise OTAs and students in accordance with state practice act.
