Job summary

Pate Rehabilitation in Irving, Texas is seeking an Occupational Therapy Tech to support therapists and patients in daily activities. The role includes documenting patient progress and assisting with treatment sessions in a team‑driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, basic healthcare exposure, and strong communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver's license and insurance are required for community outings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
• Six months minimum work/volunteer experience providing individualized instruction, preferably in health care.
• Interest in physical, occupational and/or speech therapy.
• Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance; at least two years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing treatment activities assigned and supported by Therapists and/or Assistants.
• Helps record patient progress for therapists as requested.
• Maintains professional communication and boundaries with patients and team.
• Reports safety concerns to management immediately.
• Keeps treatment areas organized and clean.
• Assists in transporting patients on community outings when needed.
