Pate Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Irving, TX. The OT will help restore functional skills and activities of daily living for our patients as part of the care team.

The role requires a Texas OT license and CPR certification. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, setting goals, supervising staff, educating patients, and preparing for discharge, with a strong focus on ethical practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas OT license to practice.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed OT treatment plans.
• Establish realistic functional goals based on patient and discharge plan.
• Supervise OTA staff and OT students on a routine basis.
• Educate patients and caregivers on OT services, treatment procedures, and goals.
• Prepare for client discharge with home modification recommendations and equipment needs.
• Maintain adherence to OT Practice Act and Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders


• Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan


• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis


• Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals


• Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment


• Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics


• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution


• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required


• Current CPR certification required


• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
