Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, LLC in Alvin, TX seeks an Operational Technology Server Engineer to ensure the availability, reliability, and cybersecurity of OT servers and core infrastructure supporting ICS and plant operations. You will manage lifecycle of OT servers, patching, backup/restore, DR, performance monitoring, and secure integration with DCS/SCADA/Historians.

This role interfaces with Operations and Reliability teams to align with PLC/OT device security across manufacturing sites,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field
Minimum 5 years OT/infrastructure support in chemical manufacturing
Working knowledge of ISA99, IEC62443, NIST standards

Responsibilities

Build, configure, and maintain OT servers in segmented OT networks.
Manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix) and storage supporting DCS/SCADA/Historians.
Maintain domain services (AD DS/OU/GPO; DNS/DHCP; NTP; certificates) for OT trust boundaries.
Health monitoring and alerting of server equipment failures.
Establish KPIs for asset health, lifecycle and performance.
Install new server equipment and decommission old equipment.
User management for servers/workstations and remote access.
Implement IT and cybersecurity policies to meet guidelines.
Serve as OT server/system SME for cybersecurity projects.
Support Digital System Specialists and Application Engineers with DCS servers/workstations.
Audit process control networks, apply patches, keep system current.
Oversee cybersecurity software/hardware upgrades and migrations.
Assist with disaster recovery planning and audits.
Support capital projects from selection to start-up.
