Job summary

Wood is seeking a System Engineer - Operations Technology to support OT infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity for a world-class LNG facility in Brownsville, Texas. The role emphasizes secure, reliable OT operations and close collaboration with operations, engineering, cybersecurity, automation, and IT teams.

You will design, deploy, and maintain OT environments, manage remote access, and lead vulnerability assessments while aligning with regulatory standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years oil and gas experience with LNG operations and large-scale OT systems.
• Strong OT, networking, and cybersecurity knowledge.
• Certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, VCP-NV, Azure Network Engineer preferred.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP networking concepts and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Define, design and implement OT software/hardware at plant and enterprise.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet ND IT/OT needs.
• Monitor plant OT network performance and address issues affecting ops.
• Handle routine operations: software updates, patches, hardware inspections.
• Use monitoring tools to analyze traffic, identify anomalies, diagnose problems.
• Deploy and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access.
• Collaborate with IT to integrate cybersecurity across OT networks.
• Oversee backups, restorations, and compliance reporting.
• Manage server deployments, virtualization, and guest monitoring for OT.
• Design secure OT networks, including segmentation and DMZs.
