Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an exceptional OT Network Engineer to support our physical infrastructure for critical facilities. You will design, implement, and maintain high-availability networks across data centers and launch sites, ensuring security and performance in aerospace environments.

You will work with Cisco/Arista/Juniper hardware, develop automation, coordinate outages, and provide on-call support during launches and tests. Strong collaboration and hands-on skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or STEM with 3+ years in professional network engineering; or 5+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 2+ years OT networking, critical facility infrastructure, or industrial automation experience
• Experience designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networks in latency-sensitive environments
• Experience with multiple network vendors in production or lab
• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available networks, balancing routing and redundancy between production and launch
• Design and maintain data center and site networks per standards with cross-team collaboration
• Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware including switches, firewalls, SDWAN appliances
• Contribute to network automation tooling and deployment framework
• Plan and coordinate network outage windows for updates and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues; publish RCA documentation
• Provide on-call networking support during launch and test campaigns
• Tailor network monitoring for proactive telemetry and issue detection
• Create and update architecture drawings, IP/VLAN schemes, data flow diagrams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve potential issues in designs
• Perform site walks with customers/vendors to gather requirements
• Ensure networks comply with ITAR, ISO, NIST controls and security practices
• Design resilient multi-site OT topologies
• Audit and enforce zero-trust firewalls to decouple facilities from DMZ
• Support on-site deployment and site commissioning
