Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Customer Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, verify, and improve cybersecurity controls for advanced control, SCADA, HMI, and OT networks across North America.

You will partner with customers, engineering teams, and global colleagues to translate regulatory requirements into practical, compliant solutions and stay current on standards and advisories to strengthen system resilience and project success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, OT, or related field.
3+ years in network infrastructure, OT, or virtualization.
Experience with VLANs, VPNs, redundancy, PKI, SSL/IPSec, RBAC, AAA.
Knowledge of Windows OS and OT cybersecurity practices.
Familiarity with Nessus, CIS-CAT, Nmap, McAfee ePO, IDS/IPS, SIEM.
Cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA Security+, Network+) desirable.

Responsibilities

Assess customer cybersecurity and translate requirements into secure control system solutions.
Design, implement, test, and deploy cybersecurity controls in control systems.
Collaborate with customers, project teams, and cybersecurity experts on compliance.
Perform cybersecurity verification and validation in tests and at sites.
Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system integration activities.
Monitor standards and advisories across the US and Canada.
Develop technical documentation and QA throughout the project.
Evaluate security of DCS, SCADA, HMI, and OT networks.
