Job summary

ARMStaffing seeks an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation assignment in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a 16–20 week contract on a day shift schedule.

The OT will plan, organize, develop, administer, direct and supervise therapy treatments per standards, assess functioning and participate in discharge planning, while ensuring effective documentation and safety for patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient functioning levels based on physician orders.
• Plan and implement treatment programs based on patient assessments.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
• Complete necessary documentation in accordance with department policies.
• Promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on equipment and treatment plans.
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling and cooperate to resolve scheduling conflicts.

This position is for Day Shift, 5x8.0 hours per week, with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will plan, organize, develop, administer, direct, and supervise OT treatment in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. Emphasizing patient and employee safety, this role will assess patient levels of functioning, implement appropriate treatments, and participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning.
