Job summary

Valero is seeking a Network Specialist to analyze, troubleshoot, and improve PCN/DMZ network security for its site operations. The role involves maintaining VRF PCN and OT infrastructure, deploying patches, firmware, and antivirus updates, and upgrading network components to ensure stability.

The position is on-site, salaried exempt, with relocation assistance available and a competitive benefits package. Candidates should have 2+ years as a Network Specialist and 5+ years in hardware/software

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's degree (or higher) in an IT-related field may substitute for two years experience.
Minimum of five years experience with computer hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate PCN problems for the Process Control Network.
Maintain Valero VRF PCN and DMZ networks and ensure security through hardware/software configurations and end-user training.
Deploy and maintain OT network infrastructure through Windows patching, antivirus updates, firmware updates, and application updates.
Perform network component upgrades and deploy updated firmware to routers and switches.
Install network computers, servers, and communications equipment.
Periodically report system and cybersecurity KPIs.
