Job summary

Saginaw Valley State University is seeking an Occupational Therapy Laboratory Associate for part-time, temporary employment (20 hrs/week). The role supports didactic, community, and simulation labs, and manages MSOT health records and annual training requirements.

Collaborating with the OT Lab Coordinator, faculty, and AS clinical staff, you will develop and execute learning activities, maintain equipment, and update calendars, contributing to high-quality OT education on campus and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy or related field from an accredited program.
• Licensed as an occupational therapist (or eligible for licensure) in Michigan.
• NBCOT certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Experience and/or ability to learn computer software programs, assistive technology, and university technology.

Responsibilities

• Work with OT Lab Coordinator, faculty, and staff to support didactic and community education.
• Provide skilled support to faculty and staff with learning activities on and off campus.
• Support planning and evaluation of student learning with course faculty.
• Develop and tear down learning laboratory activities and practical examinations with the OT Lab Coordinator.
• Manage MSOT health record requirements (CastleBranch) and monitor student compliance; communicate with students and customer service reps.
• Manage ACEMAPP annual requirements for the MSOT Program (HIPAA, OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogens); track compliance.
• Collaborate with OT Fieldwork Assistant for fieldwork-related ACEMAPP rotations.
• Open communication with AFWC and OT Lab Coordinator for rotations.
• Coordinate simulations and maintain lab equipment and materials; recommend purchases as needed.
• Update shared Outlook Calendar for OT lab spaces and activities; ensure real-time visibility for faculty and staff.
